Hi, if you’re new here then today is a good day to introduce myself. My name is Julie Susanne Clark. I’m a singer-songwriter from North Carolina.

Today I’m celebrating the anniversary of the release of my debut album “After the Violence” is about mending memories. Bringing the past into the present and watching all things become new again.

Here’s to living in the After:

Coming empty handed.
Offering my weakness.
Becoming more vulnerable yet more strengthened.
Mothering my own heart.
Violence isn’t invited.
The constant is that god is there.
He mends us and helps us to stand upright.

Twenty Years is a love story about ..Love.
When i was young, i read fairy tales. I believed in soulmates. I wanted a great love that would rescue me and take me to a better place.
But Love has resided in every room of every house I’ve ever lived in. Trusting Love is a tug of war.
I was outside this morning sitting in the sun. There was no warmth but even so, I was drawn to it. Love is like that.
Love changes shape. It can look like a lover. A father.
God is Love.
Love never leaves.
